Breastfeeding Support.

Lactation Support and Breastfeeding Education in Lawton and southwest/central Oklahoma.

Lactation

  • Breastfeeding education and peer support should begin before baby arrives. During a prenatal support session we will discuss the benefits of breastfeeding, show examples of different holds and proper latch, pumping and milk storage and other basic breastfeeding information.

  • Breastfeeding sessions after baby is born will provide education and peer support. We can assess any difficulties and potential ways to overcome them, demonstrate positioning and latch and address any other questions or concerns you may have. Sessions will not offer treatments or a medical diagnosis and will refer to an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant if needed.

  • I am currently offering FREE breastfeeding peer support as a La Leche League Leader. Feel free to call or text anytime with your breastfeeding questions. 580-514-1574

The newborn baby has only three demands. They are warmth in the arms of their mother, food from her breasts, and security in the knowledge of her presence. Breastfeeding satisfies all three.
